Mel is a registered Psychologist offering individual psychology sessions in Caringbah.

Individual sessions are available for children, adolescents, young adults, and parents to support family‑based goals.

Mel has over 10 years’ experience working with children and their families across school, community, and private practice settings. She understands that effective therapy must consider and support the broader systems around the child or young person, including family, school, and community contexts.

Mel has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people from a neuro‑affirming perspective. She also regularly works with presentations including anxiety, low mood, school‑related difficulties, trauma, emotional and behavioural challenges, nervous system activation, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), challenges related to gender diversity, self‑concept difficulties, and social challenges.

Mel uses a play‑based approach when working with children. For some, this involves a non‑directive play therapy framework, while for others a more structured, directive play‑based approach is used, depending on their needs.

The therapeutic framework is tailored to the child’s developmental capacity, individual strengths, and therapy goals. Across all ages, a playful and relational style is often beneficial and helps many clients feel safe, engaged, and understood.

With adolescents and young adults, Mel works flexibly, drawing on approaches that best suit each person’s goals, preferences, and personality.

Mel also works closely with parents, providing guidance and support to help them navigate challenges and strengthen their relationship with their child.

A referral is not required to access sessions. If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate, please speak with your GP about whether you are eligible for a referral to psychological services.

If you or your child is an NDIS participant, Mel works with both self‑funded and plan‑managed clients.

Mel is available: In Caringbah from Monday - Thursday.

Individual session fee: $232
